Ardwick ‘Health City’ Set to Fill a Manchester Void
Plans for a new ‘Health City’ in the Ardwick area of Manchester city centre could well help fill a void that serviced offices just struggle to cater for.London has Harley Street but Manchester has….well…nothing really. The companies trying to find small offices to use as consulting rooms tend to trip into serviced offices who just can’t quite provide what they need.
However, Grangefield Estates have just been granted outline planning approval for a 4 million square feet scheme at Chancellor Place. The site, bordered by Piccadilly Station and the Mancunian Way aims to deliver specialist office space for the healthcare industry.
Regardless of the arguments over the likelihood of cosmetic surgery being a major part of the development, it would undoubtedly fill a major void in Manchester’s commercial office space market. It will also help expand the city centre boundaries further, bringing office space in Ardwick Green closer to the city.
