Liverpool’s Mann Island Scheme Boosted by NWDA
Liverpool’s Mann Island office development will receive £3 million from the Northwest Regional Development Agency (NWDA) to help push through an additional 33,000 sq ft of grade A office space.Merseytravel will be occupy 106,000 sq ft at the scheme and it had seemed likely the office element of the Mann Island development would be delivered independently. However, the current economic climate has seen construction and funding costs increase, which is where the NWDA stepped in.
Chief Executive of the NWDA, Steven Broomhead, said: “It is important that during the current economic downturn, private investors remain confident in the North West’s regeneration schemes and its ability to persevere with projects in the most adverse economic situations.”
