Pie Factory Filling Nicely
The Pie Factory and Media City has secured another tenant in TSL, a broadcast systems specialist.TSL managing director, David Phillips, said of the move: “We enjoy a close working relationship with Peel Media and this new office is demonstrable evidence of our commitment, not just to the Media City UK development but to the expanding broadcast and production work that will emanate from this world-class facility.”
Chief executive of Peel Media Group, Sinead Greenaway, added: “Peel Media has been working with TSL for some time so it’s great news that they have decided to establish a base at The Pie Factory. The Media City UK community has the potential to generate some really significant business opportunities for the media sector and a presence at Salford Quays will mean TSL is well-placed to capitalise on this.”
The two companies have enjoyed a good relationship since 2007 with TSL providing a lot of input into the Media City UK site in Salford Quays.
Other clients currently providing the filling at the Pie Factory are Design 108, Axon Birch, Purple Crew, Lemon Casting, Gallowglass, and Toasted Productions.
Once completed, the Media City UK studio block will offer seven high definition television studios, two audio studios (one dedicated to the BBC Philharmonic), and a technical block featuring fully equipped sound and vision control rooms. In addition to this there is plenty of office space in Salford Quays nearby.
